"Excellent in every sense, generous serving casserole-do not hesitate a moment-a recipe box keeper! Can even make rice a day/two ahead to save time then just grab it to assemble casserole. For cheese, we substituted Tostito Salsa Con Queso cheese/in jar which added a very subtle wonderful flavor (was on sale vs Cheese Whiz which is pricey). With leftovers, we'll add chicken chunks and tomatoes, then wrap in flour tortillas. So many possibilities w/this casserole, can easily adapt to your preferences.
Cook broccoli and rice; combine with all other ingredients. Place in buttered 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
This has been a family favorite for years.

1Baker2Baker 2 years agoI am looking for ways to sneak in vegetables, this was not a hit in our house. Not too good the next day, most of it got tossed. Just the basics all mixed together.
HeatherC717 2 years agoI made this last year for Thanksgiving. Making it Again this year. It's one of my favorites. I don't use celery. Instead I use water chestnuts!
