"I've been making waffles for 35 years. I thought I'd give this recipe a try. These are AMAZING!"

1 3/4 cups milk; whole, low-fat, or skim
8 tablespoons unsalted butter; cut into 8 pieces
10 oz. all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast
2 large Eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Original recipe makes 4 Servings



The night before:

1. Melt butter in 1 cup milk in sauce pan over medium-low heat. Add remaining 3/4 cup milk to cool mixture.

2. Whisk together dry ingredients, then whisk milk/butter mixture into dry ingredients.

3. In small bowl, beat eggs and vanilla until combined, then add to rest of ingredients. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

In morning:

1. Stir batter, then use approx. 1 cup per large waffle.
