Old Penna. Dutch dish local to Big Run, Pa.
Boil chicken pieces in water, onion, celery, salt and pepper, until done. Remove chicken and cool so that chicken may be removed from the bone. Cut chicken into small 1/2" chunks and put aside. Remove onion pieces and skim fat from broth. Mix flour and water in shaker and thicken broth to a gravy consistancy and add chicken peices. Ladle over waffles and pepper liberally. May be used with leftovers also, especially Turkey.
