"So I made my own harissa from the Smitten Kitchen recipe super good. I made this pretty much as written except for a couple things, I browned merguez sausage and added to the pot and I cooked it in my le Cruset in the oven at 325 for 2 hrs. I also added more harissa. I haven't served it yet so finishing touches are still to come but its prety freakin amazing already!"
"Essentially I turned this into veggie fajitas. Serving it with tortillas and sour cream was definitely the way to go. I only had one garlic clove, so I supplemented some garlic powder and it worked fine."
