Even old town is kind of a neat place to go through. You can sample at the candy shop or get some fresh crab off the docks.

Re: Cheese?http://www.bigoven.com/groups.aspxBandon Oregon is really beautiful.  Right on the ocean, and the rocks there grace many picture postcards.

I have organichttp://www.bigoven.com/groups.aspxI actually have a home based business call From Oregon.  I grow and sell organic spices, jellies, jams and butters.  Since I just started this year I have not gotten my jars for all of my sauces, but I do have great suggestions on cooking different things organic.

University District (Seattle) Farmers Markethttp://www.bigoven.com/groups.aspxcooking commentsRe: Organics in a box?http://www.bigoven.com/groups.aspxI live in Spokane and have gotten a weekly (and then every-other) box from Fresh Abundance since they started up a couple of years ago. They are great, it has lots of variety, its all organic and local-organic when possible.  sometimes it seems pricey to me ($50/box) but other times it seems I got way more than I paid ... since I rarely buy vegts from the grocery any longer I don't have any idea how much that single persimmon or pomegranate might have been worth ... lol.

I also like SPUD.com.  They have a "Fresh Harvest Box" which is organic fruits and vegetables which are in season and they offer free delivery if you order a certain amount.  Most of the food in the harvest box is local and also very good.  My biggest problems with them were that I always got too much stuff that it went bad and I always had to throw some of it away ($30 of produce is too much for one person to eat before some of it goes bad).  Some of the items included were also a little pricy in my opinion..   Overall, SPUD is the best I've found that still operates today.

I'm also thinking of trying the new Amazon delivery service since they just started up in my area and it looks like they have lower delivery minimums - however, it doesn't look like they have "box" product for what it fresh and in season.

Organics in a box?http://www.bigoven.com/groups.aspxIs anyone a current subscriber to an organics-in-a-box type delivery service?  Am evaluating these and would love any thoughts.
