Subject: Finally took the plunge!

I finally got myself back to WI's a few months ago with my neighbor and I have lost 13 pounds and only a pound away from my current Goal Weight. Haven't been by the boards here in months and thought I better stick to Big Oven again and visit all of my friends here!

Hey Pam,

WELCOME BACK!!

Let me be the first (here) to say WEIGH TO GO on that great 13 pound loss.  It's so encouraging to the rest of us when we see that people can and do reach their goal, whether they have many pounds to lose, or just a few (which is sometimes harder to accomplish).

Please let us know when that last pound finally runs away from home!!

Hello-
I'm a newbie to the site, to the groups, to the discussion group, and to this chat.  I saw the title "plunge" and figured it was calling me to do just that.....  so here I am.  I went to WW when I was a kid in gradeschool and have been a yo-yo since.  I'm here at this site to learn how to cook the WW way.  I want to learn how to cook WW meals that are tasty and nutritious.  I figured if I'm taking the plunge I'll ask for it all.  Can anyone relate?

Hi jskiba, and WELCOME, from another Floridian and former Buckeye!!

I think we can all relate.  I myself am going through a period of not doing what I know I should do...... just been too busy to think about it much.  So, we can both plunge right back in together.  I was doing pretty well, and don't want to undo what I've already done.

Please post often.  Working together, WE CAN DO IT!!

hi everyone! I'm new to the site as well and I really like it!!! I've done WW on and off again for the last 6 years. I've got a 2 yr old daughter and want to be an example to her. I've got tons of WW Recipes and hopefully I can get them up here soon.

Hi ezziriah,

WELCOME to our little group.

I can't wait to see what recipe goodies you have to share with us.  I've been in a real rut lately, and could desperately use some new ideas.

Give that little one an extra hug.  Two year olds are such fun.  I don't know why they call it the terrible twos.  I think they're a scream at that age.

I've added a few recipes. I thought while i had a few mins I will post a few. I'm staying at home with the little one right now. Work has kinda slowed down so thats ok i guess . I get an email from this girl I believe she lives in Boston and she tries to email at least once a week but, since she is preggers she hasn't been emailing much. But she got to goal weight right when she found out she was preggers. Anyways in the last several months I've collected several recipes from her.
Leah can be quite a handful and she can throw one more fit if she doesn't get her way and she screams too if she doesn't get what she wants. I'm trying to get her potty trained...hopefully soon.

Thanks to everyone's comments I've been able to get through the weekend so far.  I did find a treasure I'd like to share.  It's Canfield's diet soda (if you partake) the flavor is Cherry Chocolate Fudge!  I pour it over ice and add 2 tablespoons of 2% milk and it tastes like a milkshake.... mmmmmm goood.  And it's guilt free!!!!

I'm new to this website and recently took myself off WW to do it on my own.  I lost 17 pounds in 5 months on WW and have lost another 7 in the last 3 months on my own.  I've gotten a lot of good recipes from WW but hubby threw them away when we moved.  I can't wait to see what recipes you all have to share.

Hi dianarae,

WELCOME!!

He threw away your recipes?  Are you still married to him?  LOL  KIDDING!!!!

Seriously, you're doing great with the weight loss.  Keep up the great work.  There are loads of great recipes on this site, so don't forget that they can be lightened up in many cases, and/or, you can calculate the points for any of them, and plan your menu around that.

I'm glad the holidays are over for the moment.  I am peeling out of my cupboards all of the "useless" tummy fillers and re-introducing myself to cooking with fresh fruits, vegetables and lean meats!!  I'm making a game out of it, kind of, I'm taking one ingredient and experimenting with it untill I'm bored.  Then on to the next experiment.  So far, I'm enjoying the education, the creative process and the flavor combinations.  2009 is mine!  I'm going to claim it...lol
