I'm 35 and have been cooking since I was 12. My mother was working late one night and I decided to cook for us. I found a Turkey Roll in the freezer and some corn in the cupboard. I read the directions off the boxes and made a meal. When my mother came home we had a candle light dinner including wine (grape juice in the wine glasses). I've been cooking ever since.
I almost never follow a recipe exactly. Both Ma and I have allergies so I had to learn quickly how to adapt a meal. I was a cook in a restaurant for a number of years. I have this internal sense of what will and won't work together and how things will taste when combined. When I'm cooking for my family or coming up with a new recipe I don't normally use exact measurements so I might have to tweak some of the measurements slightly on here later. I normally add ingredients by sight.
Not all of the Recipes on here were created by me. Some are family recipes or just Favorite recipes from other sources. Enjoy!
Part of the reason I'm using this site is to add all my favorite dishes to one location so I don't have to figure out where what dishes recipe is stashed at. I love the app and I can take my recipes with me on my IPHONE.
Recipes I've Posted (all 43)
My Favorite food is Drunken Duck Noodles which is Thia food. I have no idea how to make it and that is one of it's appeals. I have to go out to get it. It's a comfort food and a pamper me food all at the same time.
I love Thia food, Indian food and Italian food.
Favorite Junk food is 7 layer cake (cookies) I only make it once a year because it's so bad for you.
Ostridge is my favorite steak it is also almost impossible to find in the States. For those of you who don't know Ostridge is a bird but it is a red meat.
I eat Chicken most often, it is cheap, there are endless ways to prepare it, and it can be very quick.
I love Quiche for breakfast or a snack.
I once made a Turduckin which was the most challenging thing I've ever made for Thanksgiving. It was one of the most pleasing visual meals I've ever made and definitely the hardest to prepare.
A Turduckin' is a Chicken stuffed inside a duck Stuff inside a Turkey. There is a different layer of stuffing between each bird. The end result just looks like a normal Turkey till you slice it. There are no bones in a Turduckin.

Red Wine Poached PearsThe original recipe say to split them in half after cooking but for visual effects the whole one is much more appealing. You might want to make small wholes or incisions into the whole pears so the sauce may soak all the way through. [I posted this recipe.]
