What's for dinner?
If it weren't for Rachel Ray, I would still burn water!  No, seriously, I was boiling water and melted the pot to the eye of the stove.  Apparently there's no "auto off" on stove's.  That was a long time ago, I'm better now.  Thanks Rach!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

I almost didn't do the recipe because I like fast and easy. Well, the only time consuming part is..., waiting. I'm glad I tried it, my son gobbled up the sprouts. If I had cooked them longer, they would have been more tender, note to self. But this recipe is a must try! I didn't put the cheese or balsamic vinegar on them, I'll try that next. They even reheat well. We've eaten them for 3 nights, sadly, they are gone. I'll just have to make some more!!! YUMMY!

Turnip your Mashed Potatoes

Turnip your Mashed Potatoes

Cutting the veggies into smaller chunks helps it cook faster by adding the cheese after the mash has cooled a tiny bit, you get some cheesey, stringy chunks, a nice surprise for the young ones! [I posted this recipe.]

Gram V's German Style Red Cabbage

Gram V's German Style Red Cabbage

WOW! That is one fantastic recipe. I have never made red cabbage before. All the other times I can remember eating it, it was blah. This recipe is fantastic. The flavor is wonderful. It's sweet, but then you get this great tangy zing to finish off the taste. I will definately be making this again!!!
