What's for dinner?
Krispy Kreme Donut

One of the pleasures of preparing a great meal, is sharing it with friends and family. If you can't share the food, the next best thing is sharing information about it. Here I share some of my own food experiences, recipes, and techniques that I hope you will find interesting and useful as well as information I have collected over the years from others on the internet. I have always enjoyed cooking as a hobby. It is not only a very relaxing activity, but you enjoy the fringe benefit of getting to eat what you create. In fact, one of my primary motivations for learning to cook was to be able to taste food that in some cases is impossible to find in a restaurant. As with most things in life, items that are carefully hand-crafted are vastly superior to mass produced versions, and food is no exception. I prefer rustic, home style cooking, sometimes referred to as everyday food, lovingly prepared and served to families around the world every day.

Recipes I've Posted (all 41)

I prefer foods with a lot of flavor, favoring ethnic cooking of all types including Mexican, Indian, Thai, Chinese, Cajun, Middle Eastern, Guatemalan, Caribbean, Japaneses Food and many others. I guess I qualify as a chile-head because I have grown up eating hot and spicy food all my life and it hasn't killed me yet.

Chocolate-y Christmas Cafe au Lait Recipe

Chocolate-y Christmas Cafe au Lait Recipe

his is a take-off of sorts on Cafe Brulot, Hot Chocolate, and Cafe au Lait. Both the Cafe Brulot and Cafe au Lait are served in New Orleans, the Brulot after dinner, and au Lait with breakfast. Cafe Brulot consists of orange peel strips, cloves, cinnamon sticks, and sugar being ignited with liqueurs in a large bowl to which black coffee is added. Traditional cafe au lait is scalded milk and black coffee simultaneously poured into a cup or carafe. Both are served piping hot. And the chocolate added to this gives the coffee a definite hot chocolate twist, sure to please all age groups. For a stronger coffee flavor, add another 1/2 cup hot coffee to the mixture. Cheese Fondue #5

Cheese Fondue #5

This is a good, basic recipe for when you need something quick. It only calls for 1/2 cup of cheese, but I wouldn't put less than 3/4 c. I made it with 1 cup and personally, still think it could be a little cheesier.

Great recipe for stomboli! but if you're going to take credit for it at least change the recipe so it's not obvious that you copied it word-for-word.
