My favorite passtimes are church, bible study, music, photography, various arts and crafts not to mention cooking and eating. I am a voracious reader, sometimes reading 3-5 books at a time. Bottom line is I enjoy life.

Garlic-potato SoupA garnish is essential to add crunch and flavor to this soup. We like garlic chips, but crisp bacon bits, fried leeks, or garlic croutons (see related recipes) are good options, too. A potato masher can be used instead of an immersion blender to mash some of the potatoes right in the pot, though the consistency will not be as creamy. If leeks are not available, substitute an equal amount of yellow onion. The test kitchen prefers the soup made with chicken broth, but vegetable broth can be substituted. [I posted this recipe.]

Buffalo Chicken "french Dip" SandwichCooking Tips Hot Wings Sauce, sauce for Buffalo wings is typically made using a tobasco like sauce and butter. but for this sandwich simply use a commercial hot wings sauce ("Frank's" brand is good) thinned out with a little chicken broth and butter Use Sam's Club Rotisserie Chicken for my money it's the best choice for this sandwich.
