Venison Hunters Stew

Venison Hunters Stew

I floured the meat, not "glittered". The dang auto spell check substituted the word "glittered".

World's Best Pot Roast

World's Best Pot Roast

I made this recipe tonight and I was impressed at how flavorful and tender this roast turns out to be. I highly recommend this recipe to anyone who loves roast beef. I did not use a crock pot / slow cooker. I cooked the roast in my oven at 350 degrees for 1.5 hours. I cooked the roast in my cast iron Dutch oven. Try it... You'll like it!

Old Fashioned Homemade Style Chicken Pot Pie

Old Fashioned Homemade Style Chicken Pot Pie

I made this dish tonight and it was outstanding! Reasonably quick, easy, and has a savory full bodied taste. It's so good you'll want to slap Marie Callender.

Alaska Sourest Sourdough Starter

Alaska Sourest Sourdough Starter

I made this starter and used it only once. (I will be using it again this weekend.) The bread recipe was "Classic Sourdough Bread" and frankly it came out great! The starter was easy to make and has kept quite well.

ULTIMATE MEATLOAF

ULTIMATE MEATLOAF

I made this dish this evening and it is good and moist however, next time I will reduce the amount of Cajun seasoning by half ( 1.5 Tbsp as opposed to 3 Tbsp ). I may even delete the red pepper as well.

World's Best Lasagna

World's Best Lasagna

I found this dish to be phenomenal. I couldn't stop eating it. However, that being said... before making the dish I read the reviews and decided to reduce the amount of ricotta cheese, using 30 ounces (2 cartons) vs the 60 ounces listed. Also, I increased the amount of meat from 1 pound to 1.75 pounds. I added 0.75 pounds of beef mixing that with the Italian sausage. I will definitely be making this one again.

Stuffed Bell Peppers

Stuffed Bell Peppers

This is a fantastic recipe and is a favorite of all to whom I have served. However, I suggest that you use tomato sauce, as opposed to juice, as this will enhance the flavor without making the peppers too soft and runny. I love this recipe.

Lynn's Pumpkin Bread

Lynn's Pumpkin Bread

The texture and the taste are very good (smooth and mellow) however I do think it could use a little something extra to enhance the taste and make it a bit more savory. The next time I make it I am going to incorporate some molasses and allspice. I think that will enhance the flavor and really make it pop.
