If I had known that making a sourdough starter was this easy, I would have tried it years ago! I don't have coon hounds, but I do have lab-mixes. If I ever have any excess, maybe I'll give them some :) I'm only on day 2 so I haven't made bread yet, but I can hardly wait!

They were moist inside and very crunchy on the outside - definitely satisfy a fried chicken craving without the calories and fat, but I think that I will add a lot more seasoning next time. I used eggs instead of buttermilk, and mixed in some hot sauce. I also used panco breadcrumbs instead of cornflakes, and sprayed a little cooking spray on top so that they would brown. Since they could have used a little more seasoning, I sprinkled some salt onto them as soon as they came out of the oven.
