What's for dinner?
Living in Southern California of course I love Mexican food. I cannot make it to save my life. That's ok though since there is a Mexican restaurant on every corner. I love seafood of all kinds. My new thing is using cedar planks on the grill.
A carpenter by trade, woodworking is my first love. The housing slump however, has me working in a nursery selling plants now. It is ok, I also grow orchids and like to grow my own vegetables.

Steens Cane Syrup Glazed Ham

Steens Cane Syrup Glazed Ham

This is a great glaze. In Southern California it is difficult to find Steen's brand but it is worth the search. In this recipe I use the cloves in the glaze but not in the ham. I have substituted beer for the wine..Yum!

Grilled Snapper Vera Cruz

Grilled Snapper Vera Cruz

Very good recipe. However I made it with boneless, skinless chicken breasts. The sauce also works well with thin bone in pork chops. Yum!
