I live in the midwest region of the USA. I am the mother of two wonderful teenagers and I LOVE TO COOK! Im studying for my GED now, so that I can go to Culinary School. I come from a long line of cooks; lots of southern dishes;)

My 1st memory serving food was when I was 9. I assisted my grandmother at a diner. I would cook the burgers, make the plates, serve them & clean up. I worked for free just to help out my family.
As an adult I enjoy coming up with new dishes. Every year my recipe for chicken & dumplins get better and better. I can taste the recipe in my mouth before I even make it or have even read a recipe. My newest favorite dish is my Steam Mussels... Oooo Wee! Dog gone good!! Oh and the family really enjoys my lasagna, and chicken franchese.

Honey-Glazed Pork ChopsMade these tonight & they were easy & yummy. I seared mine in a cast iron skillet and placed the skillet in the oven instead of transferring to a glass dish. I also added a tsp of fresh thyme & a pinch of cayenne to the glaze.. Served it with a strawberry spinach salad:)
