I live in a small Central Texas town.  I was raised the old fashioned way - I was taught to cook everything from scratch, grow a garden and sew anything.  I cook to relax, to create and to show those around me how much I love and care about them.  I work in Special Education teaching life skills.  One of my favorite parts of my day is teaching my students how to cook.

I love Thai food, although I'm afraid to try making it (I don't want to be disappointed.)  I love to bake.  Mexican food and Italian are my 2 favorites styles to cook.  One of my favorite cook memories is making kolaches, strudel and cinnamon rolls with my Grandma Janacek.  She was an amazing baker and I can only hope I'm half as good as she was.
