I'm originally from Union City, NJ. I currently live in Miami, FL. I'm a stand up comedian and Garde Manger Chef at The Ritz Carlton in Coconut Grove. I love to cook and write. I've been writing restaurant reviews for a few years as well. I love checking out local hole in the wall restaurants and bars. I'm always down for something new and different!

Recipes I've Posted (all 51)

My mother was and still is a horrible cook. She doesn't like spices or seasonings and I always felt like things in our house were just boring and bland. I took it upon myself to learn to cook because I wanted more. I think the first thing I ever made was an eggplant parm that was on Emeril when I was a kid. After that I was hooked! I love trying new things. I think I get most excited when I'm making something I've never made before. Sometimes I find myself pretending I'm on my own Food Network show.

Quick and Easy Chili

I made the chili this way because I had barely anything in my home to cook. You can always use ground beef or turkey instead of the meatballs. If you can't find the Moe's sauce you can use a tabasco mixed with a little BBQ sauce. (You can find Moe's sauce at your local Moe's Southwest Grill.)

Fricase De Pollo (Cuban Chicken Stew)

Czwiz, it can be done in a slow cooker and on the stove. I haven't done it in the slow cooker before just make sure to keep the heat low and watch it until tender. Enjoy.

Hello, was looking for different lentil soup recipes (diabetic and high cholesterol so its taste and health for me) and stumbled on your cuban lentil soup which is something I downloaded and put on my to do list as I made a spicy italian version with hot sausage recently and it was delicious. Any way I saw your recipes for latin seasoning and I use the salzon spice in quite a few different dishs as I love the flavor it gives and wanted to thank you for taking the time to post it as it will help my budget from getting the commercial version. thats all, will be trying several of your recipes in the near future hope their as good as they look lol, take care and once again thanks........John

1 cup Rice
7 cups Water
2 teaspoons Lime Juice
4 tablespoons Fresh finely Chopped Cilantro
2 tablespoons Salt
1 teaspoon Cooking Oil

I want to make the Lime cilantro rice....the measurements seem way off...is 7 cups water and 2 tablespoons salt a typo? Can you confirm?

By the way....LOVE most of your recipes by the way they look....I have put all the cuban and Puerto Rican ones in my favorites...I am also looking for Peruvian recipes.....

Thanks!
