Loin Pork Chops with ApplesI subbed apple cider for wine. Sweet potatoes baked as side dish. I think onions would add a dimension, scant teaspoon butter and maple syrup, grind of pepper made nice sauce. Pears can be used instead of apples.

Maple Pumpkin CheesecakeThis got raves at Thanksgiving, and it is not over-sweet without the sauce. The sauce puts it way over the top, it becomes elegant. You will impress someone you serve this to. I also have made it substituting some of the cream cheese with Light cream cheese (Neufchatel) with no detriment. I recommend prebaking the crust for 8-10 minutes at 325 degrees. Chill for at least 3 hours.
