I'm originally from the great state of Tennessee but now live in Texas. I love to eat healthy and finding healthy ways to make the dishes that I grew up with is always an adventure. Being a foodie is a challenge when you have food intolerances like I have so I am always looking for something new to try.
Besides a passion for food, I am passionate about my faith, my husband, my loved ones, and helping people to be their best and to reach their next wellness goal. I can't forget my love of dance and kickboxing!
My favorite meal of the day is breakfast. I have several childhood memories of my mom and my grandparents preparing breakfast for the entire family. The smell of home-made biscuits, home-made sausage (my grandfather had a small farm), grits, home-made butter, etc going in the kitchen and that aroma going through the entire house. My favorite breakfast is french toast with cinnamon apples with real butter and real maple syrup along with turkey sausage and herbal tea.
I love the flavor of this dish! I used sprouted whole grain tortillas, added fresh green beans, and omitted the butter. It did turn out a tad-bit soupy so I made a note to cut the broth in half and reduce the creamed soups by a forth. — LadyRavenWolf
