Beer-Batter Onion Rings

Beer-Batter Onion Rings

This recipe is excellent for onion rings...it's the perfect thickness! I did not follow the directions for the seasonings though, instead I added some: seasoned salt, onion powder, garlic powder, creole seasoning, sugar, cinnamon, Worcestershire, and a very little bit of nutmeg. They turned out great and my family said they were even better than Hardee's beer battered onion rings!

Sun Maid Rice Pudding

Sun Maid Rice Pudding

This is the only rice pudding recipe I have tried and the only one I make! It tastes so much better than store bought because it is so creamy. I never use raisins (because we never have any!) and it turns out great. If you want extra flavor you can add cinnamon, a little bit of nutmeg, and some brown sugar.

Peanut Butter Fudge

Peanut Butter Fudge

I have to completely agree that this is the BEST homemade fudge I have had so far. I am a beginner chef and my family liked it so much I even made some more to bring to my aunt's party!

Pecan Pralines

Pecan Pralines

This is a great recipe for mixed nuts too! I also had a thermometer that only went up to 220 degrees and kind of guessed on when to add the nuts, but they turned out wonderful. I did have to put the mixture back on heat to make it stick to the nuts.
