Pasta with Lemon-Pistachio Sauce and SpinachAs written the recipe doesn't work. I wanted to use up my pistachios so I made major changes to the recipe and succeeded in creating a passable dish. Left off the lemon, switched in butter for the oil. To avoid the mushyness another user reported I used fresh spinach instead of frozen. I used heavy cream instead of the nasty pasta water (why on earth use THAT?!)I also processed the pistachios longer, then stirred in some feta cheese. Giving this 2 stars for the 2 ingredients in this recipe I ended up using :P

Tilapia in Garlic and Tomatoes SauceThe comments in this made me laugh so hard, Even I know how to roast tomatoes and I'm a joke in the kitchen! Anyway you can BUY canned roasted tomatoes if you don't have the time and this recipe was AMAZING!

GoulashI'm a bit simple in the kitchen, this seemed right up my alley. Had marked this item to try months ago, it was lacking in flavour. Nearly binned it then discovered I had a little item called Hungarian paprika. Genuis! Imagine what a differance some herbage can make. Still wasn't very good, will keep looking.

Beef BulgogiSake is NOT a good ingredient for these! Gave it a rank taste that no one liked. In the end, was bitter but well-cooked on the grill.

Crockpot CarnitasAwful! As other posters put, I found it pretty bland though I did up the liquid to keep it from being too dry. Will not make again sadly without a major overhaul.

I would encourage you to try that recipe again. It sounds like you undercooked it. It's a very fickle recipe. I've made it 5 times but it's only come out perfect twice. But everyone agrees that sampled it that it's the best they've ever had. Since it's not my invention, it came out of a book, I stand nothing to gain. :)
