What's for dinner?

My name is Star and I am a single mother of 4 beautiful kids.  I live in Santa Ana, CA, and work as on Office Manager.  I love cooking and recently had my kitchen redone.  I am aused to cooking the traditional american, but am growing tired of the same old same old, so I am happy to be apart of this community to try out new things and hopefully add to your growing collection soon.

This was by far, the hit of our Thanksgiving dinner. Besides the Turkey that is. You have actually converted 5 Yam haters to somehow love this dish! That says a lot, because they never eat candied yams! They asked for seconds! They asked me how in the heck I could make yams that good! I am amazes and craving more! Great receipe! If I could give is 100 rating I would.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Banana Crumb Muffins

This banana bread/muffin recipe is great! I chose to make it into loafs instead, because I couldn''t find the muffin tins I wanted to use, but the results were excellent. My family went hog wild on these and almost all of what I made was gone in one sitting! My kids are BIG banana eaters, so I am constantly buying large amounts of bananas. there are many times I over estimate the amount I need for them, and some start overly ripening. This was a great way to salvage those sweet bananas when they have become to ripe for them to eat. Thank you!
