Butterfinger Cake

Butterfinger Cake

I have taken this cake many places. It is a hit! I use any white cake mix and bake according to box. I also like to refrig overnight, covered after milk and first layer of candy, then 30 minutes to 1 hour before serving add Cooll WHIP and candy.

Teriyaki Meat Balls

Tasty! I added no sugar to meat mix and cut brown sugar to 3/4 cup as previously suggested. Added 2 tsp of dried parsley flakes and 1 tsp of dried mustard to the meat mix. Let both liquid mixs set in frig overnight to meld, before making meatballs the next day.

Ma's Egg Custard Pie

Ma's Egg Custard Pie

Used a bit of vanilla and was careful to beat eggs to some froth. I did cut the sugar by an eighth of a cup, maybe a bit more. Came out deliciously light.

Homemade Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Homemade Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Great recipe! Thank-you Sgrishka. I added 1/2 cup more milk for creamier sauce, 1/2 velveeta with sharp, sautéed poblano, buttered cornflakes on top, used 3/4 of butter, bit more cayenne and called it fit for Texas.

Mexican Cornbread Casserole

Mexican Cornbread Casserole

Excellent family/potluck recipe. I used chopped onion browned with the ground beef and all kernel corn as I had no creamed corn. I placed an extra tablespoon of corn juice in the meat mixture. Morrison's Texas Cornbread was just right--not too sweet. Thanks.

Tuna-noodle Casserole

Tuna-noodle Casserole

Tasty dish. I added two fresh minced jalapeño peppers with seeds removed and 1/2 cup of chopped poblano pepper. The cheese I used was Velveeta and about 2/3 cup. The topping was buttered corn flakes as that was what was in the house. This made a casserole worthy to eat in Tx. This dish has endless possibilities depending on what is in the house.

Italian Stuffed Peppers

Tasty! I used a cup of leftover cooked rice, no chic broth, some Italian bread crumbs, fresh basil and a dusting of cayenne pepper. I followed the tomato sauce suggestion also. I shall make it again.
