I grew up in a German. Swedish home where not only my Mother cooked wonderful meals, but all of us were taught AND expected to be able to put a full meal on the table. I have to admit some of us have are better at it than others. I had Aunts (Bless their souls) who cooked professionally most of their adult lives who taught me more than I can presently remember and a Brother-in-law (Italian) who taught me a love for very rich Italian Pasta.

But my favorite foods are are still the ones I grew up with. Chicken, beef, and vegetables. The kind of foods we grew, hunted or caught ourselves i.e, Morels, chantrells, asparagus, and the wild game that came our way every season.
