Crockpot Carnitasit really was that easy- although i added some smoked papikra and red pepper- then i seared it on all sides before i put it in the slow cooker- it was moist and full of flavor! I have made it several times, and only once did it not turn out o.k.- i think something was wrong with the garlic salt, it was at my mother's house and she had a different brand and i seasoned it the same way i usually do, but it was waaay too salty- other than that this is fantastic. I always use a Bone-IN shoulder, i think that makes the pork juicier and more flavorful.

Sausage Gravy (for Biscuits and Gravy)this is pretty much exactly how my mother taught me to make sausage gravy- except totally cut back on the nutmeg, def. 1/4 tsp- but I use the Spicy sausage, and add a little ground sage-
