Homemade Tomato Sauce

Homemade Tomato Sauce

This is basically what I do with my sauce, except I add a lot more seasoning. Personal preferences, really. I use lite salt or Nu Salt, 2-3 stevia packets to cut the acidity of the tomatoes. As for seasoning, I use generous amounts of basil, oregano, garlic, smaller amounts of thyme and marjoram.

Creamy Chicken Enchiladas

Creamy Chicken Enchiladas

Well, I originally commented on this recipe a year ago. And I can truthfully say my family still asks for it all the time! My favorite enchilada recipe for sure :)

Beef Stroganoff- Unbelievably easy! (Kid-Friendly, Alcohol-Free)

Beef Stroganoff- Unbelievably easy! (Kid-Friendly, Alcohol-Free)

I DID forget to add in when to put in the boullion! So sorry! I just add my boullion to the water, stirring it to disintegrate the boullion before I add it to the skillet. Thank you so much, Artolsav for catching that for me! Leaving the boullion out would account for the blandness. I hope you have a better experience next time, and I'm glad your family liked it! :)

Creamy Chicken Enchiladas

Creamy Chicken Enchiladas

I omitted the olives and chiles and instead added a nice big ol' can of salsa verde. I put some on the bottom of the pan and the rest on the top of the soup mixture after I spread it on the enchiladas. I also added chopped onion, fresh chopped cilantro, small amounts of cooked rice and dashes each of cumin, garlic powder, parsley, paprika and chili powder to the chicken. Honestly, I can say this is absolutely the best enchiladas I've ever had in my LIFE! I made them for a bible study (we have a potluck afterwards) and everyone just raved about how amazing they were. I'll definitely make this recipe for years to come!

Ezy Baked Ziti

Ezy Baked Ziti

I changed the recipe some. I added finely chopped leftover chicken breast instead of hamburger meat. I used 3/4 cup of mixed bell peppers (red and green). I used 14 oz of cooked pasta instead of 8, used 2 - 8 0z. cans of tomato sauce, added freshly chopped basil (I cut them off the plant myself. YUM!), added 1/2 tsp of marjoram, and then added 1/8 tsp each of paprika and chili powder to give the ziti a little tiny bit of heat. Oh. And instead of using mozzerella, I used a reduced fat italian blend of shredded cheese that included mozzerella, asagio, romano, and provolone cheeses. I know that's a lot of changes to your original recipe, but I have to say, overall, 2 thumbs up! This has got to be some of the best ziti I have ever eaten in my life! Thanks so much!

Crockpot Rotisserie Chicken

Crockpot Rotisserie Chicken

Thankfully, I did this recipe WAY differently and had fantastic results. All I did was rinse off a chicken, pat it dry, and then pat cajun seasoning all over it. No foil balls, no non-stick spray, no liquid.. I just popped the whole chicken in the crockpot and cooked it on low. And the cajun seasoning together with cooking it slowly on the low setting made for delicious, flavorful, moist meat that just fell off the bones. YUMMMMM!!!!!

One Dish Beef Stroganoff

One Dish Beef Stroganoff

I took others' comments into consideration, and therefore added onions, used no yolk noodles instead of regular egg noodles, worchestershire sauce, and a dash of paprika. I used mushroom soup (not CREAM of mushroom soup) and added a tiny bit of Better Than Boullion's veggie broth mix. I tasted this recipe both with and without cream added. I have to say that I LOVED it with no cream, although it tasted more like stroganoff with it in. One more thing: I'm trying to get my family to eat more veggies, so I finely chopped 2 large handfuls of fresh spinach and mixed it in. They can't even tell the difference! :o)

Dublin Coddle (Irish)

Dublin Coddle (Irish)

I absolutely love dublin coddle! I have made the traditional recipe, which I think calls for bangers (english sausages). My fav tho is adding keilbasa and omitting the bacon, and then adding two small zucchinis. Then I add a little veggie broth (i use the "better than boullion" broth mix) and it's still awesome!

Real Philly Cheesesteak

Okay, I'm from Jersey and this is AWESOME! I HATE steakumms. Gross. Only thing I do is that I prefer my cheesesteak subs with lettuce, mayo and tomatoes! Still like the original though. Thanks for posting! :o)

Olive Garden Zuppa Toscana

Olive Garden Zuppa Toscana

I make this ALL the time, using the recipe you provided. suggestions on changing it up: I've tried different sausages, and I prefer the mild italian sausage that's in a bag, not in links. I also found that I prefer it without bacon, I add more red pepper for an extra bit of heat, and I add a little mashed potato flakes to thicken it up more. Oh, and I don't like kale so I either use spinach or leave it out. Play with this recipe! You can even use different soup bases for it for a little change. Anyways, GREAT AWESOME RECIPE! Thanks for posting because me and my family LOVE it!

We make something very similar to this in my home. It's definitely something fast an easy, but another big plus is that it is amazingly inexpensive to make!
