What's for dinner?

Male, 60 retired.  Do my share of cooking.  My wife has very different preferences in food. She likes plain food like red meat and vege, where as I like sea food, vegetarian, spicy, pasta and rice.

Like to potter in my shed. Travel and go fishing, bush walking.  Photography, cycling and boating take up some of my time but most of the time I spend with family and friends.

I enjoy Indian food.  I like to cook honey soy chicken wings.  I tend to cook grilled chicken and steamed vegetable mostly when time is limited.

Blackend Baked Tilapia

We can't get Tilapia in Australia so used herring and gar. Pan frying I found it was too easy to burn so used oven next attempt. I used olive oil, less red pepper and no salt. Also I used a shaker to add coating for better control and less mess. Tasted great.

Linguini with Calamari Sauce (Pressure Cooker Recipe)

Linguini with Calamari Sauce (Pressure Cooker Recipe)

I liked this recipe because it was quick and easy. I accidentally overcooked the squid slightly but it was still ok. The sauce was great. It was light and blended well with the pasta. I'm not fond of parsley so substituted spinach and added corn and peas for a bit of colour. Next time I will seal the cooker as soon as I add the squid.
