We live in Seattle. I practice law here; my wife and I enjoy cooking when time permits. Lately we've used our crock pot slow cooker a lot, in part for convenience. It works very well to prepare the night before and turn on low in the am. We also enjoy arriving home to a house with a cooked dinner. Finally we like to know what we eat, and prefer our own meals to more processed food for that reason.
Other activities: Hiking, biking, reading and travel.
Slow cooker as noted above.
Lots of seafood, including salmon but also white fish.
We continue to seek seafood recipes that work well in the slow cooker - typically these involve slow cooking ingredients other than fish for an extended period, and then adding the fish for the last hour or two.
Agree with suggestion from reviewer to go light on pepper flakes. Also unclear whether to cook shrimp. We did not so it took longer. Finally i would pepper and salt. — georgeross 4/28/2013
Added spices and habNero pepper to zest up. — catgurrl 4/11/2011
