I love cooking for my family.  I don't have a lot of time, but I'm commiting to try at least one new recipe a week. I love Italian food and all desserts, pastries, and breads.

Florentine Lasagna

Florentine Lasagna

I left out the 8 oz tomato sauce because I didn't want it too tomato-y. We absolutely loved it and I would definitely make it again. Next time I will add the tomato sauce because I will be making it for guests. Thanks for sharing. — CookingPassion 2/26/2014
Crock Pot Ropa Vieja (Beef, Peppers, and Onions)

Crock Pot Ropa Vieja (Beef, Peppers, and Onions)

We loved this recipe. I always order this when we visit a local latin restaurant. I actually thought this was tastier. I didn't have celery so I added a little celery seed. I love bay leaves, so I added about 5-6. I also added about 1/4 cup red wine. The color and texture was excellent. I will make this over and over. I love crockpot dishes. Thanks for sharing. — srthimsen 5/20/2012

Cinnamon Sopapilla Cheesecake

Cinnamon Sopapilla Cheesecake

We really enjoyed this!!! My son and I wanted something sweet at 10pm. I had all the ingredients, so we decided to try it. It smelled very good too as it was baking. I only made half the size of the recipe, but, we added about 1/4 cup milk chocolate morsels to the cream cheese and sugar mixture. See my picture. We immediately had a piece right out of the over. It was wonderful. Memories made and it's going in my cookbook that I am preparing to give him when he leaves home and gets married. ; ) something to remember mom by, lol. Thanks for sharing! — Beachbumette 4/8/2012

Best Steak Marinade In Existence

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! I didn't even measure anything, I just added all ingredients according to my taste. Soooo good, Thanks! — fireb4smoke 4/8/2012
Easy Peanut Butter Cookies

Easy Peanut Butter Cookies

We did not like the taste or the texture. Sorry, these were not for us. I added chocolate chips as seen in my picture submitted. They looked good, and we were excited to bite into them, but they are too crumbly as stated in other reviews. — wvufan1011 4/4/2012
Beef With Broccoli Stir Fry

Beef With Broccoli Stir Fry

Very good!!! I didn't have oyster sauce so I left it out. I used brown sugar and added ground ginger to meat marinade. Instead of boiling my veggies, I added 2 tblsp sesame oil to my wok on quick stir fried my veggies, see my picture. I added broccoli, green onion, carrots, and sprinkled w a little more rice vinegar, soy sauce, and gonger. I then added my cooked meat and tossed around to mix up and served over white rice. Thanks for sharing!!! — blueskier 4/3/2012
Oreo Balls

Oreo Balls

These were good, very rich for me though. I will make them again for a special occassion. They were a little more work than expected. I only made a dozen to test. I used my cookie scooper to make consistant sized balls. After I froze them for an hour, I took them out then rolled them in my hands to make perfect sized and shaped balls. I dipped them in chocolate and put back in the freezer. We like them frozen like ice cream/Bon Bons. Thanks for sharing. See my pics I submitted of the cookie scooper and the finished balls w/ one sliced to see the inside. We prefer big chunks of cookie, they stay crunchy that way. — lisa222 4/2/2012
Strawberry-stuffed French Toast

Strawberry-stuffed French Toast

Loved it!!! I didn't have fresh strawberries so I just mixed the strawberry preserves w/ the cream cheese and used that as the filling. I added some vanilla extract and sugar to my egg mix. Thanks!!! — CookingPassion 3/28/2012
Bourbon Chicken

Bourbon Chicken

This was excellent!!! I will be making this over white rice at least 2-3x a month. Makes great leftovers too. I added more cornstarch, mushrooms, onions, and green onions. I left off red pepper flakes because of my 2 year old, he ate 3 servings!!! Thanks for sharing. — Firebyrd 3/28/2012
Hot Dogs And Eggs

Hot Dogs And Eggs

This reminds me of when I was a kid. I give it to my kids too, every now and then. They absolutely love it. I add shredded cheddar cheese over the top just before serving! Great in a flour tortilla like a burrito, lol. — Kyle82892 3/27/2012
Buffalo Chicken Pizza

Buffalo Chicken Pizza

I could not stop laughing when I read the previous review. I don't know about anyone else, but I have never eaten dog food, so I could not say something tastes like dog food since I have never tried it. I thought this recipe was good. I love blue cheese, so I don't know about comparing it to dog food. Lol — KaitCav 3/26/2012
E-Z Pizza

E-Z Pizza

I used this idea of a tortilla as the pizza dough to make my own version of this quick idea. A perfect snack or light lunch for all ages. I brushed my tortilla w/ olive oil on both sides, sprinkled w/ italian seasoning and placed in oven on broil for a few mins until somewhat hard. I added leftover spaghetti sauce, extra sharp cheddar, fresh grated parmasan, and fresh chopped onions. It was soooo good for what it is, a snack. Thanks for sharing. Oh, yes, i placed back in oven on broil to melt my chheese. — The chef boy 3/26/2012
State Fair Funnel Cakes

State Fair Funnel Cakes

These were very very good. My family loved them. I too added just a little bit more milk since it was a little thick. I also added an extra spoon of sugar. These really satisfy my craving for a funnel cake w/o having to wait a year for the next fair. Thanks for sharing. — RahnsKitchen 3/26/2012
Squash and Corn Souffle

Squash and Corn Souffle

This turned out better than expected. The only thing I changed was that I used extra sharp white cheddar, oh, and I added about 1/2 cup mushrooms. This was so good on this rainy day to make and warm my home. Thanks for sharing. 3/25/2012
New Improved Easy Flour Tortilla Recipe

New Improved Easy Flour Tortilla Recipe

OMG!!! Warm flour tortillas w/ butter and a sprinkle of salt. I should have never come across this recipe. This could be dangerous!!! I will never buy packaged tortillas again. I made them w/ Olive Oil because that is how my mom makes them and I love the taste thanks for sharing Thank you for sharing. — melarky 3/25/2012
Nutella Brownies

Nutella Brownies

I'm never buying another box of Brownie mix again!!! My search for chewy, gooey, rich and chocolaty in the center, crispy and crunchy on the edges, brownies is over. They were gone within 10 minutes of coming out of the oven. My husband ate them ALL. I had anout one square inch. Next time I'm doubling the recipe, lol. Thank you for sharing such a great recipe. — linnny 3/24/2012
easter egg nest

easter egg nest

I added the peanut butter to the chocolate as it started to melt. It's real simple, you can't ruin it. They turn out cute and excellent w/ mini pretzel sticks instead of chow mein noodles. They also look adorable for Easter w/ Peeps marshmallow chikies. Enjoy! — Christafarmershave 3/23/2012
Enchilada Casserole

Enchilada Casserole

This was a HIT for my family!!! I tweaked the recipe a little. As the ground beef and onions cooked, I added salt, fresh ground pepper, and garlic powder. I was fresh out of cream of chicken soup, so I improvised, I added 8 oz sour crean. I also added fresh chopped cilantro to the mix. I only had sharp cheddar and pepperjack cheese, so I used that. I did not tear my corn tortillas, I layered them like lasagna. I used about18(3 layers). Toped w cheese and a little more chopped cilantro for color This w wwill be on my regular menu now. Thank you for sharing! — RKBCooks 3/23/2012
Homemade Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Homemade Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Soooo good! I added tons of crushed Ritz crackers or you can use Club crackers by Keebler, over the top before baking. I also added about a tablespoon of dehydrated onions to the cheese mix. Omg, it's to die for, everybody loves it and asks for the recipe. I did use fat free half n half instead of the milk too. The fat free half n half did not compromise the taste either. Thank you for sharing ; ) — sgrishka 3/20/2012

Thanks so much for the nice comments. I love the idea of chocolate chips. We've added raspberry jam to the filling also with nice results. Thanks again!
