General Tso Chicken

General Tso Chicken

We really enjoyed this. Reminded us of our favorite Chinese restaurant back home. Increase the amount of ginger for an extra "kick". 12/11/2005
Crusty Skillet Corn Bread

Crusty Skillet Corn Bread

Tastes just like my mom used to make. Delicious corn bread with a nice crisp crust... 12/7/2005
Best Ever Banana Muffins #1

Best Ever Banana Muffins #1

Everyone loved these. They were so moist and delicious. Watch them closely...mine were done in less than 20 minutes. I also added a teaspoon of vanilla. — cleverkt 11/3/2005
French Toast

French Toast

Delicious! Using day-old bread seems to work the best. I left out the nutmeg and just added cinnamon and vanilla for flavor. Next time, I think I'll add a little orange zest. 11/3/2005

Rosemary Bread

Rosemary Bread

This was so delicious. Instead of forming the dough into the "focaccia" type shape as descibed, I just seperated it into round loaves. Great for dipping in a little extra virgin olive oil. 11/2/2005
Hot and Spicy Chili

Hot and Spicy Chili

This was pretty good. I left out the black beans and just used pintos. I'm still in search of the perfect chili recipe though. — cera82v 11/2/2005
Caraway Seed Rye Bread

Caraway Seed Rye Bread

I loved this bread. Very dense and chewy, and it makes an excellent Reuben sandwich. I really like the flavor of caraway seeds so I doubled it to 2 Tbsp. 11/1/2005
Cranberry Almond Biscotti

Cranberry Almond Biscotti

This was my first attempt at making biscotti and I was surprised at how well they turned out. I liked the contrast of the chewy cranberries with the crunch of the cookie. Next time I will cut the recipe in half, as it makes a whole lot of biscotti. Definitely add the orange zest, it adds a whole other layer of flavor. 11/1/2005
Chocolate Cheesecake

Chocolate Cheesecake

Not the best cheesecake I've ever had...but certainly delicious. It's not overly sweet which I liked, but I would have preferred a stronger chocolate flavor. Next time I'll try using an imported chocolate, because Hershey's just didn't cut it. I made a raspberry sauce to go with it. 11/1/2005
Lemon Chicken

Lemon Chicken

This was delicious. I thickend the juice left from the cooked chicken with some butter and a little flour and served it over pasta. A great, easy dinner that packs in a lot of flavor. — Plysy 11/1/2005
Apple Dumpling #2

Apple Dumpling #2

This was just awesome. I used regular sugar and I cut the apples in half. I also added about a teaspoon of rolled oats to the inside of each dumpling. They were easy to make, looked great and tasted even better. With a little scoop of vanilla ice cream, it makes the perfect fall dessert. 11/1/2005

Everything But the Kitchen Sink Cookies

Everything But the Kitchen Sink Cookies

This is one of my favorite cookie recipes. I left out the butterscotch and vanilla chips and added crushed corn flakes and coconut. Very appropriate name for this recipe. It makes for a very dense, chewy cookie. 10/31/2005
Oat Sunflower Millet Bread

Oat Sunflower Millet Bread

Everyone loved this bread. It was great toasted with just a little butter, so warm and chewy. I didn't have any millet, so I just doubled up on the sunflower and added black sesame seeds. I also brushed the tops with a little milk and sprinkled on some rolled oats before baking in the oven (no breadmaker). Delicious! 10/31/2005
