I've made this a few times now as an appetizer and it's always a hit. I bake mine on a rack over a foil lined sheet pan...way less greasy. Also reheat well if you want to make ahead and just pop into the microwave when your guests arrive. — jzopf 8/1/2010

I added some sesame oil and soy sauce to the filling, and have added cooked and drained ground pork and even a can of crab meat. It's a great recipe on its own or to build on. It's also a nice change from heavy, pastry laden appetizers. — jimshim 1/27/2010
