I just took this out of the oven. The aroma was wonderful. I could not wait for it to cool so I took a sliver off the side. The taste was wonderful. The texture was just right and it just melted in my mouth. This is a moist coffee cake. I made it according to the directions but I did mix a little cinnamon and ginger into the batter. I also used fresh blueberries. I baked it for exactly 50 minutes and it was perfect. Thanks so much for this wonderful recipe. This is great for a brunch as it makes a large pan.
This was a great recipe. It is easy and presents well. The final outcome is tender, juicy chicken with a crisp flavorful crust. The sauce compliments the chicken beautifully without being overbearing or heavy. I made the recommended roasted potatoes which were also very good. Many of the steps prior to the actual oven baking can be done ahead of time so it makes for a good company dinner. Next time I will try with a side of pasta. Thanks Sherri!!!
