Recipes I've Posted (all 37)

I have always loved eating but have always been sick and still am. I now know that I have allergies as do my children. I cannot eat anything with peanuts, seafood and mushroom ( only my main allergies ) but my childrens allergies are different from mine. I love pork, bacon, steak, vegetables, cheese, eggs, chicken and lamb. I like savoury although not real spicy  food. I dont have a sweet tooth although my daughter and son do.

It says 1/4 cup black pepper but am sure it is meant to be 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. I will be trying this soon.

All-Star Pork Meatballs

All-Star Pork Meatballs

Fun for kids to makeand eat, too! These meatballs are oversized and cook easily in the oven. Scalloped potatoes and buttered green beans make the meal complete.

Braised Y-Bone Steak

Braised Y-Bone Steak

You may need to cut around the edge of the steaks before cooking to prevent them from curling. Once steaks have been seared they can be put into a large casserole dish or crockpot and cooked. ( If you cant find Y-Bone Steak, try Blade or Rump Steak ). [I posted this recipe.]

Vegetable Toss

Vegetable Toss

You can add anything you like to this recipe, eg mushrooms and spices to the saute or corn cobs, broccoli, cauliflower or pumpkin ect to the saucepan ( but you will need to add softer vegetables later ). Idea is to evaporate the water, so keeping all nutrients into this recipe. [I posted this recipe.]

Memere's Mashed Potatoes

Memere's Mashed Potatoes

I have used this recipe for years exccept I use margarine and a potato masher, with no salt in the water. I also cut down the cooking time by cutting the potatoes in half or even quarters if in a hurry. I also mash them on the hot element. This is truly an easy yet great recipe.

Pan-Grilled Sausages With Apples and Onions

Pan-Grilled Sausages With Apples and Onions

I did`nt use the sage or lemon juice but we still really enjoyed it and I am not keen on sausages. I have only ever pre boiled sausages in making " Curried Sausages " but will be doing it now as the sausages were not fatty at all.
