This was VERY messy. When we cooked it, the batter fell away from the calamari, and the oil bubbled up significantly. It was hard to control a "boil over". When we finally finished, there were mixed outcomes. One third had no breading, one third had clumps, and one third was burnt. It tasted good, but e might try a different recipe next time.
