What's for dinner?

I love to cook and cater parties for friends.  Recently, I even catered my own wedding!  There are 7 people living in our house, so pleasing everyone can be a real chore.  Family dinner is at our house every Sunday.  Then we can expect anywhere from our usual 7 to up to 30 people.  I I would have to say I am very skilled at cooking for a crowd.  Now that I have graduated, I am able to devote more time to cooking and posting recipes.

For whatever reason, I really dislike soup.  The rest of my household, on the other hand, loves it.  We have family dinner every Sunday, and in the winter, it's always soup.  I have become well known for my soups at my husband's office as I only know how to make enough for a small army (his coworkers get the leftovers).   Our favorites are Chicken Noodle Soup, Mashed Potato Soup, Vegetable Beef Barley Soup, and Broccoli Cheese Soup.

This sauce is awesome! I don't care for chocolate but this could just convert me!

Cranberry Cocktail Meatballs

Cranberry Cocktail Meatballs

I used frozen Italian meatballs in this recipe for a quick appetizer for a Christmas party. Even those who didn't like cranberry loved this. It was the first to go.

This recipe was great. The kids, for obvious reason, couldn't get enough of it. The adults enjoyed it too.

Cranberry Cocktail Meatballs

Who would have thought cranberry and chili sauce would go well together? We served these at our Christmas party for our "family". Even those of us who didn't like cranberry, loved these. We used frozen, Italian meatballs and it worked out well. The kids didn't care for the sauce, but as I said, they went over very well. Thank you for such a wonderful recipe!

Chicken Corn Soup with Rivels

Chicken Corn Soup with Rivels

When I was in Lancaster, PA, I couldn't stop eating this soup! The outcome was just as I remembered. The kids didn't care for it, possibly because it wasn't Miga's chicken noodle, but the adults thought it was great! A few of the kids didn't like the rivels, others didn't like the creamed corn taste. Next time I will split the pot and make Chicken Noodle with half the broth and this with the other half.
