I learned how to cook in Girl Scouts & Jr. High School. Back in the day when we were being taught to be good wives & mothers. I enjoyed baking much more than cooking. I like the exact nature of baking vs. cooking. As I became an adult I'd tell people, "I don't cook." They always heard, "I dont know how to cook. I was o.k. with that. I NEVER got asked to cook Thanksgiving, or Christmas Dinner. When I was invited to go some where that I needed to bring something, I brought either bacon wrapped water chestnuts with plum sauce, raw broccoli salad, or some fabulous dessert I made. None of the recipes were hard to make & were easy to transport. (I make a mean Black Forrest Cake) I married a chef. Cooked cooperatively with him when we first were married. After 2 years, or so, he kicked me out of "his" kitchen. Again, I was o.k. with it. I love watching cooking shows. Now, I cook on a semi-regular basis. I've found a way to enjoy cooking that works for me, cooking delicous food that is simple
