Caesar Salad

Caesar Salad

Good recipe! Important to chill the lettuce. I double the garlic and go a bit easy on the lemon. I whisk together all dressing ingredients with the exception of the olive oil and then slowly drizzle the oil into the dressing in a steady stream while whisking constantly, to get a nice emulsion. And do yourself a favor, don't buy prepared croutons. You can easily make your own croutons while working on this recipe, or just grill a few slices of fresh baguette topped with parmesan. — stevemur 9/29/2014

Original submitter. A huge hit with our dinner club at Indian themed night. — fuchsr 3/2/2014
Parmesan Roasted Asparagus

Parmesan Roasted Asparagus

Even my son who doesn't like asparagus was raving about it! — promfh 10/28/2013
Hajar's Harira (moroccan Soup)

Hajar's Harira (moroccan Soup)

This was a great success at out Morrocan themed dinner club night. I used canned beans instead of dried beans (2.5 cups each). After cooking meat, beans and lentils, the soup had a great texture, so I didn't use the flour slurry. 10/13/2013
Shabu Shabu

Shabu Shabu

Unfortunately, the order of ingredients is screwed up so much that is is impossible to infer how this is supposed to be prepared. 12/24/2012
Red, White, and Blueberry Trifle

Red, White, and Blueberry Trifle

As previous reviewer mentioned, I also replaced the pound cake with an angel food cake and skipped over the lemon syrup. I added 1 tbsp of lemon juice to the cream mixture to give it a bit more zest. I would suggest to double the amount of cream mixture to have enough for two layers or, as I did, use a layer of instant chocolate pudding. — Evin7 6/17/2012
Kfc Cole Slaw

Kfc Cole Slaw

Excellent! I didn't have have buttermilk in the fridge so I substituted plain yogurt, and -- lazy as I am -- used a bag of cole slaw mix (cabbage and carrots). Still the perfect cole slaw for a summer night barbeque. — rgcurrie@wbcable.net 6/9/2012
Jamaican Jerk Chicken

Jamaican Jerk Chicken

This chicken was *divine*. As suggested in the recipe I doubled the dry spices. I also used chicken thighs instead of breasts. The chicken had a nice kick but not so much that it hurt. Instead of grilling, I baked it at 350 degrees for an hour, then before serving I basted it again with the marinate and put it under the broiler for a few minutes. It was nicely charred on the outside and tender juicy inside. I served it with rice and beans and a mango salsa. Our guests couldn't get enough. This recipe is a keeper. 2/12/2012
Dessert: Raspberry Amaretto Tarts

Dessert: Raspberry Amaretto Tarts

Okay but far from great. The amount of amaretto seemed small, so I doubled it, and still all I could taste in those tarts was the ungodly amount of sugar that went in them. Having said that, my kids actually liked them, so three stars seem appropriate. — katehandel 12/26/2011
Chorizo, potato and pea tortilla

Chorizo, potato and pea tortilla

I tried this for a Spanish-themed dinner as an appetizer. Used about 1 pound of chorizo sausage and used 1 tbsp of minced garlic instead of garlic paste. I also added sun-dried tomatoes, which turned out not to be such a great idea as they charred easily while grilling. I sprinkled paprika over the tortilla before grilling, which gave it a nice color. — cleverkt 12/18/2011
Carrot Cake

Carrot Cake

Pretty good recipe although I wasn't as blown away by it as some other reviewers. — serialpurrs.org 11/27/2011
Lentil Soup with Sausage and Greens

Lentil Soup with Sausage and Greens

Nice recipe. I didn't use sausage, instead I added six Franks cut into slices at the end. I didn't have stewed tomatoes at hand and added a can of diced tomatoes with green chili, which gave everything just the right amount of heat. — promfh 3/12/2011
