Since I got my little notebook I have been joining all types of cooking and baking sites.  I got tired of the old fashion, tried and true receipes from my heritage and growing up.  I am Italian and some PA Dutch, but have been brought up on all the Italian dishes that my grandmother and father taught me how to cook.  The usual Lasagna, eggplant parmesan, tripe (cow's belly), Linguine and clam sauce and many others.  I also received an Easy Bake Oven when I was 7 and started baking with my mother way back then.  Just two years ago my beloved father (The Boss) bought me my first Kitchen Aid Stand up mixer to make homemade pieorgies.  Since then I have been broadening my horizons into other receipes from other bakers, cooks, etc.  My father loved my cooking and baking.  Before he passed away in Jan, 2009 I made him an apple pie, shortbread cookies and Liguine and clam sauce and Shrimp Scampi.  I would love to bake and cook a few receipes from your site and will honestly rate every one that I choose.  I might even give out my receipe for shooters (cherry peppers stuffed with prochutto and stinky provolone.

I think I'm getting old because I am enjoying and eating more sweets, like cake and pies.  I love making cakes for the people I love at work.  They love my baking, but so do my children. But to see the smiles on their faces when I bring in that cake it just makes me feel good about myself.  Well of coure it would be baking with my mother with my Easy Bake Oven.  And of course, when I had all my family over my house for Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years.  I even put on my own birthday party, cooked and baked everything and evited all my family and friends.  But most of all two Christmas' ago, when I cooked all kinds of my father's dishes.  He ate them all but the only thing he let me know of was he didn't like Al dente noodles.  I never knew this, but that was the only thing he said.  He enjoyed everything, that Christmas was the most special and memorable Christmas since I got my Easy Bake Oven.

I love the taste, but I baked them for the full 10 minutes and the next day they were hard. I will try them baking them for only 8 min. because I love a soft and chewy cookie — bkprice13 2/1/2010

Linguine with White Clam Sauce

As an old fashion cook, I hardly write anything down, but you have the basic's. If you like it with more garlic, add the powder, add crushed pepper if you like it with a tang. Watch the Italian Seasoning, it's strong so you don't want to add too much. This is great the next day, so I hope you like it. [I posted this recipe.] — GloriaJean59 1/31/2010
