I live in the Detroit, Michigan area and work at a defense contractor as an engineer. I enjoy computer gaming, tennis, softball & wallyball. I also enjoy watching the local sports teams. I also enjoy traveling and world history.

I enjoy a variety of foods and I'm usually up for new things all the time. So I can't really pick one really favorite food.

Easy to make but the recipe can vary widely by what bbq sauce you choose to use. I would give it 3 - 4 stars. I like the hints of hotness in the sauce. But it was lacking something that would bring it to a 5 star. — patanddick 3/22/2014

My favorite in this category. But I'm pretty sure it is the same as my Betty Crocker recipe book. — mistyp 2/5/2014

Arroz con Pollo (Spanish Rice with Chicken)

Nice subtle flavoring. A little spicier and it might earn a 5th start :) — Firebyrd 9/1/2013

Good stuff and not to complicated to make either. 9/30/2012
Beef Yakitori

Beef Yakitori

Very good stuff. There is an error in the recipe though. The ingredients calls for sugar the verbage calls for oil. I went with the oil. — Firebyrd 7/29/2012

Benihana Japanese Fried Rice

This reminded me of the stuff they serve at Shoguns Steak House. 7/29/2012

Creole Jambalaya

Once I finally located some proper sausage I could finally make this :) Very good... i only used 3 cups of rice because that's all my rice cooker can carry. So I lowered the sausage by 1/3. I also used cayenne pepper for the "red pepper". — CookingPassion 5/27/2012
Barbecue-roasted Salmon

Barbecue-roasted Salmon

Not sure what I expected but it was very good. Since I only have "very hot" chili powder I used 3 instead of 4 tsps. — hanan@home 4/22/2012

The flavor was pretty good. I used 3 potatoes and that seemed like enough. "Medium" is a pretty vague term ;-) — _idle_ 3/17/2012

Very good and easy to make. I used indian style curry powder (hot) all else same as recipe called for. — headscalifornia 3/3/2012

I used beef and the flavor was good. But... your recipe needs some work. You don't state how much oil to use. You mention adding cinnamon but there's none in the ingrediants. Same thing with chilies... it's not in the ingrediants. — MamaJoRen 1/8/2012

Hey! Where is your spicy fried chicken recipe? I saw your review of the corn casserole.

I wish there was some way to remove some recipes around here. There are some worthless ones. I also wish there was a filter to remove recipes I've already made from the search filter. That way when I'm looking for a new recipe I don't have to keep seeing them. After all I can see all those in my option "Recipes I've Made". I don't see the point on seeing it in both places.

I do most of my cooking on the weekends... unfortunately I stick with microwave dinners during the week.
