Great American Potato Salad

Great American Potato Salad

I liked the look of this recipe until I realised that it was made from already made products that are not available here in the uk. Helmans mayo is fine but do I add fresh dill instead of a dill realish? I wonder if this would be the same if everything in it was fresh rather than processed?

Hearty Lentil Soup with Hot Italian Sausage & Spinach

Hearty Lentil Soup with Hot Italian Sausage & Spinach

Very easy to make and cheap as it fed 5 of us. Mixed reaction, all was eaten but I found it rather bland and the celery over powered it. Sausages were delicious but I think it needed a bit more lick.

Jojutsum - this was great feedback. Thank you. Two things can dramatically change the outcome of the soup, the quality of the broth and the suasage. I use very flavorful hot italian sausages that are made fresh in-store at my local Whole Food's market. I'd be interested to know what kind/type you used. As for the celery, I recommend the basic ratio for mirepoix, which is two parts onion to one part carrots and celery, but you can certainly cut back on the celery if it's to your liking. Thanks again - Dave.
