Linguine with Avocado Pesto

Added Tabasco to give it some heat, and put some red onion in the blender as well. Came out OK. Still added some salt when on my plate...

Coffee Cake - Barbara's Watch Hill Sour Cream Coffeecake

Coffee Cake - Barbara's Watch Hill Sour Cream Coffeecake

Made this cake several times. Found that a nice big layer of brown sugar and walnut mix (way more than the recipe calls for, makes it absolutely irresistable. Als made it with different colors of icing, depending on whatever feast was celebrated. We made one up just to eat cake! *LOL*

Tried a new tactic and gadget. Shave the pieces with my new gadget into a bowl with cold water (splash of oil) then transfer into the boiling water., instead of shaving over the stove, where the dough starts to get sticky real fast. Seems to work pretty good! Made half the recipe, just need to start mixing without the water... tend to add half the amount of water without taking into account that a whole egg has more liquid than the 1/2 egg needed for half the recipe!

Crustless Quiche with Goat Cheese and Scallions

Crustless Quiche with Goat Cheese and Scallions

I'm thinking of easy ways to adjust this recipe for things you normally would have in the house; like frozen spinach and (canned) mushrooms and a variety of shredded cheeses.

was a little disappointed. Too bland as is. Definitely need to spice this one up, or serve something exciting with it.

Easy Ham Broccoli Bake

Easy Ham Broccoli Bake

I have come to the conclusion that this dish is actually for dinner, lunch and yes, even for breakfast! In a hurry? Make this in advance, pop it in the fridge and in the oven when you are ready for some hot food... Great when you have guests and you don't want to be in the kitchen away from all the fun. Great for kids too!
