Bacon Wrapped Adobo Pork Loin Roast

Bacon Wrapped Adobo Pork Loin Roast

As said, it is easy, simple to make and the outcome is outstanding! Wil definitely make again! Served with a mix of corn with bell peppers and black beans. Gravy on top, and it was real quiet at the dinner table, always a good sign *lol* — knay111 9/5/2014
Rolled Pork Belly with Apricot & Honey Stuffing

Rolled Pork Belly with Apricot & Honey Stuffing

Butcher had only 3 lb in stock, so made it with that and prorated all other ingredients. Used way more sea salt, not sure how one can make the entire recipe with 1 tablespoon! Otherwise kept to the recipe, only used store bought bread crumbs. It's crackling in the oven and the smell is mouth watering. Moving this recipe over to favorites, and we haven't even tasted it yet!! — GazzaTAFC 7/27/2014
Prosciutto-Wrapped Chicken with Bourbon Mushroom Sauce

Prosciutto-Wrapped Chicken with Bourbon Mushroom Sauce

Hubby made it yesterday and it was great! We had it with mixed steamed veggies (cauliflower, broccoli and carrots) and couscous. — knay111 6/29/2014
Dutch Baby Pancake with Fresh Orange Sugar

Dutch Baby Pancake with Fresh Orange Sugar

Made it with skim milk and cold eggs but it didn't seem to make a difference. It came out wonderful and to my surprise as a mount! It takes a few minutes to "fall" and you can sprinkle the topping on easier. I tried to do it while it was still towering *S* Oh, and I didn't have an orange, but I had a red grapefruit... made it delicious!! — knay111 6/29/2014

Easy Bean Soup AKA Petra's Kitchen Sink Soup

Great Soup! — knay111 3/1/2014
Dresden Stollen

Dresden Stollen

Easy to make with amazing result! Made this several times now. The first time as described and it came out rather flat, it didn't rise but it expanded its "footprint" if you will. The second time I used a long shallow cast iron pan and laid the loafs end to end, with a barrier of folded (and oiled!) tin foil to separate them. The third time I thought I'd save myself the trouble and make one big loaf, which came out.... under cooked. So, when making 1 loaf, add 15 minutes oven time! 2/20/2014
Limburgse Vlaai

Limburgse Vlaai

Used the largest amount of flour and had enough to make the lattice top. Didn't have a tool to make that beautiful harmonica top, so tedious work, had to cut the top evenly with a paring knife row by row to make it, but it came out great (said she proudly LOL) It tasted just like the Vlaai I had eaten in the Netherlands! Will definitely make again! — knay111 1/18/2014
Quick Cornbread

Quick Cornbread

Broccoli and Orzo Casserole

Broccoli and Orzo Casserole

When I didn't have the correct ingredients, I added a can of broccoli cream soup and peas instead of broccoli (of course didn't make a roux) and it still came out great. Also left out the spicy seasoning for the panko. Still a very flavorful dish! — knay111 12/28/2013
Baked Virginia Ham

We only had a 8 pound Honey Baked ham, but it was so easy to make, and came out beautifully. Will make again and added it to favorites immediately. — knay111 12/28/2013

Parker House Rolls

Made this for family, totally surprising myself and the family, I didn't know I could make such a delicacy! Immediately added it to favorites. One remark, eat up! They aren't nearly as good the next day... — knay111 12/22/2013
Farfalle with Savoy Cabbage, pancetta, thyme and Mozzarella

Farfalle with Savoy Cabbage, pancetta, thyme and Mozzarella

Made it for the second time, this time I only had whole wheat pasta on hand, and cream cheese. Made a different dish. Still good though! — comoxcook 11/4/2013
Za'atar Spice Mixture

Za'atar Spice Mixture

Made this tonite for the first time. Didn't have Sumac, substituted it with Lemon Zest and Lemon Powder from packets. Came out great, the flatbread was just wonderful. Will definitely make this again! — knay111 11/1/2013
Za'atar Flat Bread

Za'atar Flat Bread

Made it tonite for the first time, it's a favorite already!! I made some slight adjustments, like I used 1/2 cup of semolina and the rest bread flour. Also, I didn't have sumac, so I used lemon juice. Everything was just wonderful and we had seconds.... and thirds! — knay111 11/1/2013
Leek, Shrimp, and Andouille Pot Pies

Leek, Shrimp, and Andouille Pot Pies

Made this tonite. It was very easy to make and was delish! Didn't even need pepper or salt. Looking forward to having the leftovers!! — knay111 10/7/2013

Curried Chicken Salad

Curried Chicken Salad

I always have Fage Greek Yogurt (the pink label 0% fat-free kind) so used that instead of sour cream. Served it on home made coarse whole wheat toasted bread and served double portions (for 2). It was real quiet during dinner! *LOL* — knay111 9/5/2013
Cheese and Spinach Puffs

Cheese and Spinach Puffs

Did not come out at all. Looked horrible, but tasted just fine. Needs a lot of tweaking! — Firebyrd 8/18/2013
Linguine with Avocado Pesto

Linguine with Avocado Pesto

Added Tabasco to give it some heat, and put some red onion in the blender as well. Came out OK. Still added some salt when on my plate... 9/16/2012

These taste delectable and are always SO popular at parties, I can scarce keep them in supply! Indeed yes, knay111 I agree completely that these like so many hors d'oeuvres and souffles taste fine yet lack a certain beauty, but thank goodness looks aren't everything! Thank you for marking it that you'd definitely make it again!
