Lynn's Pumpkin Bread

Lynn's Pumpkin Bread

We used sweetened organic applesauce instead of oil and reduced the sugar to 2 cups. Of course, we added chocolate chips!!! Delicious! Really good for after school snacks and lunch boxes.

Finally! An easy simple, recipe that tastes delicious. Perfect for baking with little pastry chefs. We doubled the bananas, added 1/4 cup more flour, and inserted a chocolate kiss in the middle.

I used a flavored rum this year and it didn't light. :-( Will use dark rum next time.

Apple Bread

Apple Bread

The taste was good. I added the cinnamon directly to the batter as well. Would chop the apples very small next time and spice the apples first before adding to the batter. Had to add 20 mins to baking time.

Succulent chicken marinated in strawberry yoghurt

Succulent chicken marinated in strawberry yoghurt

Our chicken was still raw at 200o, so I cranked the oven to 350o and added another 30 mins. Hubby liked this dish, but kids weren't jazzed. I enjoyed the mint in the salad. For the expense, tho', it wasn't worth it.

All Butter Pie Dough

All Butter Pie Dough

Easily the tastiest crust ever. Made enough for one double crust pie. After we made our pie, I boiled the leftover pieces for 8 minutes and sprinkled with garlic salt for an unbelievable dumpling snack. The whole family loved it.

Pork Chops (tender, Oven-baked)

Pork Chops (tender, Oven-baked)

Tasty--seasoned exactly right. Unfortunately, ours turned out really dry, so we had to eat it with lots of gravy and applesauce. I think next time I'll brown them on high heat to sear them.

Mmmm...yum! I halved the cauliflower, doubled the spinach, and added 1 more cup of broth. Added the milk after pureeing everything. Looks like alien plasma but tastes divine!!
