Chicken with Southwestern Salsa

Chicken with Southwestern Salsa

Delicious chicken with a very nice complimentary side salad. I didn't have cumin or black beans so I had to subsitute another spice into the recipe and swapped the black beans for red beans. I used butterflied chicken and it tasted delicious with the spice mixture. The salsa was a perfect compliment to the chicken. I made a side of white rice with cilantro and threw some of the salsa on top of that too. It was easy and delicious. — sgmensing 3/9/2013
Herb-Crusted Salmon

Herb-Crusted Salmon

This was totally delicious. We actually used it on salmon and tilapia and it was equally delicious. I would make this easy recipe time and time again. — cleverkt 10/14/2012
Fluffy Pancakes

Fluffy Pancakes

Wow! Tasty and simple recipe! I added a quarter teaspoon of cinnamon to the dry mix and added some diced bananas once the batter hit the pan. They turned out beautifully. Thanks for sharing this classic and yummy recipe. 4/29/2012

Fastest Cinnamon Rolls

Fastest Cinnamon Rolls

I made these yesterday but had a hard time following the recipe due to the measurements - the butter and flour more consisely. For example, it calls for "9oz or flour (2 cups)" - but it is one or the other. I used 2 cups (of whole wheat flour) and that seems to be the correct estimate. Despite the odd measurements listed and the lack of a full sized food processor, I pushed through. The end-dough was really ugly, sticky, and near impossible to roll. I was tempted to throw it out altogether, but took to the final steps of baking it. They did come out quite delicious, albite really ugly. Unless this measurements were corrected, I wouldn't make this recipe again. — digigirltx 5/30/2011
Warming Cream of Spinach Soup

Warming Cream of Spinach Soup

I made this soup tonight with a few [personal] changes. To start, I sauteed up a whole onion and a few minced cloves of garlic. I also use 2 bundles of fresh spinach and let that wilt down in the sauteed onion/garlic mix. Once that was thoroughly reduced, I sprinkled in the flour and mixed really well. Following that I followed the liquid addition that the recipe called for and the recipe came out great! I garnished it with a bit of feta cheese that we had in the fridge - a perfect compliment! I would highly recommend this recipe. It's easy, healthy, and delicious! — cajuntoast 12/19/2010
Broccoli, Asparagus or Cauliflower Soup

Broccoli, Asparagus or Cauliflower Soup

I made this with cauliflower and it got rave reviews from myself and my boyfriend! It was so good, I'm making it again tonight with broccoli. I decided to sub 2% milk in place of the heavy cream and it was great! 11/7/2010
Oven Roasted Potatoes

Oven Roasted Potatoes

This recipe was great! I never thought of adding an onion soup mix before. Prior to roasting the potatoes, I boiled them (and some squash) slightly until they were tender. Then I added the EVOO and 1/2 and onion soup mix and baked for 30 min. The results were tender and tasty. 11/23/2009
Lynn's Pumpkin Bread

Lynn's Pumpkin Bread

This recipe was excellent! I followed almost to a "T" but added a dash of allspice in there for good measure. I managed to get 9 muffins and a behemoth loaf out of the recipe. Since my loaf pan was larger than I thought it was, it had to bake longer than the stated directions. But I was just patient and kept testing via toothpick for doneness. Overall, they are super moist and I have received only compliments so far from my taste-testers. — soozikue2 10/26/2009
