I am enjoying home cooking, and I love Food Network and Big Oven! Each new receipe makes cooking more exciting. I've recently been into cooking the Mediter-asian diet.

Recipes I've Posted (all 2)

Fish mainly salmon, but now tilapia and fresh tuna! Also cheese (but not with fish!) and I LOVE pasta. I also love original greek style salad (no lettuce!) and anything with eggplant in it.

Zuchini and Sausage Lasagna

Zuchini and Sausage Lasagna

Wow. The sausage makes this lasagna So good! I used zucchini from my garden that i let grow way too big and sliced it with a cheese slicer. One strip took the entire length of pan. Awesome. Will make again and again.

Apple Crisp

Since there's only two of us I made it in two ramekins. Worked out very well for individual desserts. Also added more oats than called for but all in all very good!

Tilapia Parmesan

Tilapia Parmesan

I made this again by the book! And oh man it is so good. I like the idea of broiling at the end to get the browning effect. This us the only recipe I will make with tilapia.

Make sure the skillets hot before tossing in the fish. Flip only once or all of the breading will fall off. [I posted this recipe.]

I depends on how you cook but i would normally go with teflon but I am a low fat cook. If you use alot of oil than stainless steel is fine. The hard ionized pans that they have come up with a very good as long as the brand is decent.

I am a retired Chef with 35 years experience. I love my stainless pots and pans !! Just be sure when you purchase them that they are of good quality and have thick bottoms to retain heat evenly. You will find out that its pretty hard to burn stainless. Most everything comes off easily. Enjoy cooking !!
