I live in the mid west, I have been a SAHM for the last two and a half years. I love to cook, bake and generally experiment. I am a mother of three and am married to a wonderful man whos heart I stole with my apple crisp!

Recipes I've Posted (all 6)

I love to cook! I started cooking when I was very young, around 9. I love to experiment with different flavors and textures. I am a baker at heart though, brownies, cookies and pies, OH MY!  My family loves comfort foods, so I do cook a lot of those as well! Within the last few months I have started to experiment with authentic Mexican dishes.

Salsa Verde

Salsa Verde

Love it! The only thing I do differently is reserve the 1/4 C. water from the boiling of the vegetables to use to blend in later. Keeps the flavor strong. I think. ;-)

A little tart for our taste, just added 3 more tsp of sugar. That did the trick! Thank you!

Please follow the directions. There is no way that this doesn't have taste, unless you tried to doctor it.

Mexican Lasagna

Great recipe! When I use flour tortillas I dip them in the enchilada sauce and set aside until ready to start layering. Good with corn tortillas too! Great recipe! Thank you!

Impossibly Easy Chicken Pot Pie

Impossibly Easy Chicken Pot Pie

Easy and delicious! I usually don't make changes to recipes that I am making for the first time, but 2 chicken breasts seemed like a lot for just one can of soup. So, I went ahead with the 2 breasts and the rest of the recipe was left the same, with the exception of my adding a can of cream of celery. SO GOOD! Oh yeah, I would have just added an additional cream of chicken, but I didn't have it on hand. It was so delicious, I'm glad I didn't! Thank you so much for such a simple and delicious recipe!

3 Envelope Roast

3 Envelope Roast

I used the slow cooker method. Used 3 cups of water. I didn't add in vegetables, I roasted them separately so I got the real flavor of this roast. HOLY COW was this ever good! My family is just not big on roasts, but this went over so great with my entire family! Thank you so much!

Mcdonalds House Dressing

Mcdonalds House Dressing

Isn't this just buttermilk ranch, minus a package of ranch? I make ranch all the time, this is almost exactly how I make it, but with an additional pkg of ranch.

Spaghetti Sauce

Spaghetti Sauce

I usually don't change recipes until after I try it the first time to the letter. This one I just adjusted a few things, I used Italian sausage instead of ground beef, added a can of tomato paste and omitted the parsley (it wasn't in the directions anyhow). To the person who thinks 5 cloves of garlic is too much; it's cloves of garlic, not entire heads of garlic. THIS IS AN AWESOME RECIPE! Thank you so very much!

Macadamia Nut White Chocolate Cookies

Macadamia Nut White Chocolate Cookies

These cookies are amazing! I generally do not change recipes the first time around, but I read that they were cake like and not chewy and crispy which I myself like as well. So, I just cut the baking soda AND the salt in half. PERFECT! Nice chewy crispy sweet cookie with hard crunchy nuts, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this recipe! Thank you so very much!
