Penne Pasta with Lemon Sauce

I live in the cold regions of Minnesota, I am working on being a horse trainer, I currently own 1 solid black horse named Bandit. I am a good cook, but I work a lot so I rarely have time for it sadly...

Italian Sausage Skillet Slop

Italian Sausage Skillet Slop

this was a super super super easy recipe to make aned it was actually a lot better than I thought. I omitted the peppers as I don't like them cooked, and I also used bow tie pasta. I also used canned diced tomatoes and onion and dried parsley to save some time. I added olive oil and cheese to noodles and cooked before adding to sausage and onion and it really made the noodles good and cheesy :).

Fettucine Alfredo

Fettucine Alfredo

YUMMMM this is soooo good. real homemade alfredo, I never knew it was seriously this simple to make! I will never buy store bought sauce again. I added chicken and peas. I also added garlic powder to the sauce. It was sooo good, my boyfriend ate his practically before I took my second bite haha.

Milk Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Bread

Milk Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Bread

Loved this recipe, outside was a little dry, but the inside was super moist and it was a super unique and good snack. Very flavorful and fun.

Rosemary Carrots

Rosemary Carrots

I LOVED this. I love using rosemary to cook, and as stated previously it was an absolutely excellent sidedish. It's a nice change from greenbeans, or potatoes. I have never thought of serving carrots as a sidedish, they were absolutely wonderful!

Garlic Stuffed Mushrooms

Garlic Stuffed Mushrooms

these were really good! we actually forgot the garlic at the store so we substituted with just a bit of garlic powder, they still tasted great! The cheese was a little dry on the top and made it hard to eat, but it was a very flavorful meal and a good change from eating meat.

Taco Bake (Bisquick)

Taco Bake (Bisquick)

I am an extremely picky eater and I haven't wanted to make taco bake previously because of beans in it and it being far too saucy or spicy. I tried this one and I really enjoyed it! I was terrified to put tomato sauce in a taco flavored meat... but I did it and it adds more texture than anything. I agree that there is hardly enough meat to cover the pan, which is why I added 2 lbs of ground beef, and I also added a whole bag of shredded cheddar. I don't personally think the crust is too thick if you use 2 lbs of ground beef, it's very light flavored and more fluff than substance. I served this with chopped iceburg lettuce and fresh diced tomatoes, cilantro, and onion. I also used frozen corn instead of canned. But even this picky eater liked the recipe so well done :)

Beef and Swiss Meat Pies

Beef and Swiss Meat Pies

I used normal white onion, I also added peas. I substituted pepper jack instead of swiss and it gave it a ton more flavor. The biscuits I can buy here were WAY too small and I could only make 4 tiny little filled biscuits. I had some pie dough left in the fridge and I used that and that was way better. I made a large pouch with the remainder of the meat and it tastes almost like a pasty. It's so thick and delicious. The little biscuits I made are great lunch/breakfast snackers, but I would make it with the pie dough again for sure.

Rosemary Sage Pork Chops

Rosemary Sage Pork Chops

I didn't use any vermouth for I didn't even know what that was. I also added some Thyme onto my chops. The chops cooked very dry, I might use more oil next time and a lot more garlic. I also think I would try just using dry herbs next time, because it took me forever to chop the fresh ones and they fried up anyways. It was flavorful though, better than juust cooking a pork chop with typical seasonings. We served it with rosemare roasted yukon gold potatoes.

Penne Pasta with Lemon Sauce

Penne Pasta with Lemon Sauce

we added diced sauteed chicken breast and mushrooms, and left out the zest. It wasn't very lemony due to the zest not being added, but it was still absolutely delicious and we'd make it the same way again next time. a simple creamy penne dish that tasted great. I advise you eat as much as you can the first night though it doesn't make good left overs, the sauce turns into an oil when you heat it up again and loses it's cream.

Impossibly Easy Chicken Pot Pie

Impossibly Easy Chicken Pot Pie

Not as flavorful as normal chicken pot pie in the sauce, but somewhat quicker to make. Like veryone else I doubled the bisquick and milk, there wouldn'tve been enough sauce without it. I also used a whole bag of frozen veggies an extra chicken breast, and chopped up red potatoes. The pie was huge, but definitely a lot more filling. I would double the crust next time, it was way too thin for how large I made it, but if you like a thick filling chicken pot pie I suggest adding more like I did, it was really good.
