Baked Spud Burger (Vegan)

I started cooking when my partner Lori was diagnosed with cancer. She passed away July 9, 2010. I'm cooking, hopefully, as a fun, useful, practical and common sense way to reach out and help support others.

Recipes I've Posted (all 24)

I enjoy cooking with herbs and spices and simple staples. My favorites are anything with rice, grains, flatbreads, lentils, beans and potatoes. Everything whole plants, made with love, no junk, no meat, no dairy, no fats and no oils.

Whole Plants Are In
- Whole grains and pulses
- Whole roots
- Whole vegetables
- Whole fruits
- Herbs
- Spices

Processed and Animals Are Out
- Junk
- Meat
- Dairy
- Fats
- Oils

I still enjoy a big holiday feast with traditional holiday meats, but my everyday meals are whole plants.

Carrot Rice (Vegan)

I often make carrot rice as stand alone fancy side dish. I usually don’t cover with curry or other toppings. This fragrant dish reminds me of Afghanistan pilafs.
