I live in Newtown, in Sydney. It's a funky area with lots of fantastic restaurants, which I have been relying on far too long for my eats. Now I'm trying to get more into cooking stuff for myself, hopefully delicious stuff.
I'm a uni student at the moment, majoring in psychology and digital cultures, they're not very related to each other but both are interesting.
In terms of past times I'm a bit of a board game nut, but I also do the other normal stuff, such as movies with friends and going for walks.
I don't really specific favourites, it makes it far too easily for fall into the trap of having the same thing over and over again. Though I do enjoy things with lots of spices - like cloves and cinnamon, not so much chilli. I'll hopefully add some more to here when I think of more

Peanut Butter CookiesI'm a bit of a beginner, but I was looking for something I could sell at a bake sale, and these sounded good. These were pretty simple to make, and had a great result. The only thing that I had trouble with was I didn't know that "fat" referred to butter as well as lard in the instructions, so I added that in late, but the still turned out good.

Broccoli Soup -- Gordon RamsayThis was a really simple recipe, great for someone just starting out, like myself, and it turned out great.

Cinnamon Buttermilk Cupcakes with a Cinnamon and Creme Fraiche Butter IcingI've made these twice and they are delicious. The icing in particular is amazing. For some reason the cupcakes haven't risen when I've made them, but I'm a novice so I'm probably doing something wrong. And realistically I don't mind, because it means more room for the icing!
