Tuna-noodle Casserole

Tuna-noodle Casserole

Tasty dish. I added two fresh minced jalapeño peppers with seeds removed and 1/2 cup of chopped poblano pepper. The cheese I used was Velveeta and about 2/3 cup. The topping was buttered corn flakes as that was what was in the house. This made a casserole worthy to eat in Tx. This dish has endless possibilities depending on what is in the house. — kroc2009 3/22/2014

Very sweet. Next time I shall add some crushed red pepper flakes to add depth to the sweet. It keeps well in the frig and gains flavor the next day. — lukearmy7 10/30/2013

Served to guests that raved. Next time I shall bake squash to soften before chopping. My seasonings were thyme, a light dusting of cumin and cayenne due to region I live and their taste buds. Thanks for the recipe. — ellie36 10/22/2013

Old-Fashioned Crumb Coffeecake

I baked this for a brunch with friends and it was praised. Since I prefer the texture of an oil cake over butter, I subbed 1/2 cup veg oil for butter in cake. Easy to make. Thanks for the recipe! — sgrishka 7/12/2013

I left out the broccoli and used regular green cabbage. I also subbed oriental seasoning pkt for beef. As recommended I toasted the almonds and it makes a flavorful difference. Tasty salad that many people like. — travellingkiddo 6/22/2013

I have made this several times. I cut back on the number of green onions and am careful to pre-cook bacon and pour off most all the grease. I prefer the taste and health benefits of olive oil. Excellent dish. — sgrishka 6/16/2013

Authentic Simple Spanish Rice

Authentic Simple Spanish Rice

I added pigeon peas about 2/3 of a can and 1 tablespoon of sliced salad olives. Olive oil about 1/4 cup or so was used to cook rice translucent with onion. At that point, all other ingredients including olives and pigeon peas were added. — francesmomto3 6/16/2013
