Retired telecom engineer and communications geek. Have taken an interest in cooking over the past 12 years. Early on I was a photojournalist so I enjoy taking pictures of food I've prepared. I also enjoy traveling to regional cooking schools and taking classes about local specialties. Since I was recently diagnosed with Diabetes I'm learning to cook dishes that are diabetic-friendly. I test them on myself so I know they're probably OK.
I can eat in 14 languages and cook in 6. If it's ethnic, or authentic I'm up for it. I may not like it the first time but I'll try most anything.
