What's for dinner?
kevin's Shrimp and Crab Bisque

Recipes I've Posted (all 122)

I love to cook, I hate to bake.  But I will bake if it's a birthday/holiday.  I just don't like the process as much.

I tend to throw stuff at the pan and hope it tastes good.  I succeed most of the time.  I love meals that don't require much clean up.  one dish skillets are my usual go-to.

Spaghetti Carbonara

Spaghetti Carbonara

we like this dish a lot. the wine makes it seem more elegant than it really is chock full o' bacon!

Balsamic Shrimp

Balsamic Shrimp

I got this recipe from my dad, I've no idea where he got it from but I had to have it when my daughter raved about pop-pop's balsamic shrimp.

Warming Cream of Spinach Soup

Warming Cream of Spinach Soup

Darned good! I found it needed a lot of salt --must be why "season to taste," and "season again" are part of the instructions. I am going to try some of the other suggestions next time, particularly the fresh spinach.

Mexican Cornbread Casserole

Mexican Cornbread Casserole

Yummy! I only used 1 box of cornbread and half a can of each of the corns (I froze the leftover corn for later use). This was a win in our house.

Shipwreck

Shipwreck

I always seem to burn this. not sure if it's my crock pot or if it needs more liquid. I use the slow cooker bags so there's no clean up. The taste is still great if you like stick-to-your-ribs comfort food.

Benihana Hibachi Chicken and Hibachi Steak

Benihana Hibachi Chicken and Hibachi Steak

WOW. I made this with sirloin. minus the bean sprouts. I served it with short grain rice and some of that lovely "japanese steakhouse" sauce (which really just amounts to ketchup and mayo). I couldn't make this any better if I tried.

Chicken Carbonara

Chicken Carbonara

didn't have a bell pepper... used cooked chicken left-over from a slow cooker meal earlier in the week. deglazed the pan with a little white wine between the meats and the sauce. pretty tastey. :)
